The Network of Indicators of Science and Technology in Health (RICTSAL) is a joint initiative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) and the Network of Indicators of Science and Technology - Ibero-American and Inter-American - (RICYT), for the creation of a space of information, discussion and analysis of indicators on science and technology (CyT) in the field of health.

Objective of the II Meeting of the RICTSAL
Share reflections on the measurement of various aspects related to the scientific output in health in the `Region of the Americas` as well as the specific development of indicators on science and technology in health.
Thus, the RICTSAL helps to respond to the diversified demand for information which is pertinent, easily accessible in order to support the participation of various actors in the production and use of indicators of science and technology in health in order to support the management of the scientific activity of the countries of the `Region of the Americas`.
The participation in the Network is through the National and International Organizations of Science and Technology, Units of Science and Technology of the Ministries of Health and other institutions of the region.
The Network will meet periodically either presentially or virtually and participated the appointees by the Organization National of Science and Technology and of the Bureaus of Research of the Ministries of Health in order to represent its respective institutions, with being able to to decide on the agreements achieved during the meeting. Also experts informed in the area of indicators of science and technology that they advise technically the members of the Network.
